  • The Ohio Art Education Association Conference: November 13-15, 2025
     

    The purpose of this course is twofold:

     

    1). To increase networking opportunities with art education professionals and art education students within the state of Ohio.

    2.) To engage in issues and current topics pertinent to art education in Ohio, and beyond, through active participation in the Ohio Art Education Association Conference.

     

    Participants will be required to attend presentations by, and network with, Ohio practitioners, researchers, academics, students, artists, and writers in our field.  Participants will also visit the commercial exhibit displays to view the latest publications and art media for classroom use.   
     
    Attend a pre-conference virtual meeting on either October 13, 2025, from 6:30pm – 7:30pm or October 14, 2025, from 6:30pm – 7:30pm to review expectations, get answers to your questions, etc. 
     
    While at the conference November 13-15, 2025, attend a minimum of 8 conference presentations and/or media workshops, and all general sessions; spend a minimum of 1 hour in the commercial exhibitor-sponsored activities and collect art media and publications, as well as literature about new technologies and equipment; attend both your Regional and Divisional meetings (if you are part of more than one Division: pick one), initiating contact with fellow Ohio practitioners; and post-conference: Write a final reflection addressing the prominent ideas and directions of the field of art education in Ohio at this time based on your experience of the conference.
